Garden Lighting Design – London

London, small garden lighting – Garden Lighting Design –

This fabulous London garden might be compact but has a warm cosy feel. The choice of planting and materials by designer, Daniel Shea, gave us an ideal canvas to add ambient light. This allowed for the client to enjoy sitting out well into those late summer evenings.

We worked with Lanwarne landscapes to ensure we could run our armoured cabling under the paving and brickwork during construction.

Running linear strip lighting under the floating bench gives a low level wash of warm light over the paving slabs.

The open structure of the plants in this garden lend themselves to being up-lit. The light can work through the branches and give layers of highlights and shadows.

We didn’t want to create extra cabling or redecorate the interior of the house. The solution was to use the existing power cable feed already available for the external socket. This feeds the lighting control unit which allows the client to wirelessly switch on two areas of lighting, whether they are sitting outside or looking at the garden from the house.
